To All members of TWIF

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the TWIF World Outdoor Tug of War Championships, which will be held in Getxo, Basque Country, 15^th /19^th September 2021.

We have called the Championship SOKATIRA MUNDIALA to show you the force and uniqueness with which we live in our country the sport of Tug of War (SOKATIRA) in an event of the highest level (MUNDIALA).

After we chose the name we started working on 4 major challenges:

1. - For the great family of the TWIF to have a memorable championship,
2. - Help to promote and modernize our sport in areas like sustainability, information technologies, doping control and the health of the pullers.
3. - For the people who visit us to get to know and enjoy our land and culture.
4. - Contributing towards bringing our environment closer and for the spectator who connects to the championship by streaming to enjoy and find out more about our sport.

The extraordinary circumstances we are living through present us with an even greater challenge: achieving all the above will guaranteeing the health of all the people who attend the championship. Between everyone I am sure we can do it!
